From Russia with Love!!!!

I arrived in a very cold but beautiful Moscow, with temperatures of -20 degrees. Everywhere was covered with snow and glistening brightly in the sunshine. I was fully prepared as always for Russia and had come fully kitted out in my fur hat and coat ;-)

I went straight to the club, which was brand new and had only been open since January. As I walked in I was amazed to see hundreds of excited people packed in so tightly, ready to party the night away. The club was set out with a huge DJ booth in white surrounded by the dance floor, I just knew this place was ready to have its roof blown off and I was the girl to do it!

The promoter announced my arrival on the microphone and I had an amazing reception, as I always do in Russia. I started my set with my new track Digital Dope, which completely blew up the room!!! Sometimes you have to work hard to warm up a crowd, this was the complete opposite! Everyone of the crowd was jumping so high off the ground, it looked as though they were all on springs! I was jumping too, which in turn made them jump even more. I played an underground tech house jackin’ set, my usual ‘Romero’ sound and slipped in a couple of my new tracks to road test them.

I was in Russian heaven.  I looked around and saw a packed club, rocking its C** off!!! It had to be one of the best gigs to date!!! Russia and its party people never ever let me down……I look forward to coming back and seeing you all for part DEUX, very very soon!!!!

SWEDEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I arrived in Stockholm to experience its extreme weather of -14. Sweden looked so beautiful and very trendy with its sophisticated bars and restaurants. I was so excited to be making my debut at the infamous Club Solidaritet and couldn’t wait to get stuck in.

I started my set off with my new track ‘Digital Dope’ which took the roof off of Solidaritet!! The crowd were jumping in the air and going crazy; it was immense.  The club was quite small and had the most intense atmosphere. I carried on the rest of my high energy set with tracks from the Weekend Heroes and Manuel De La Mare, to an extremely appreciative crowd that seemed to lap up every minute of me being there.

This was a night that I won’t be forgetting in a hurry and I will be counting the days until I grace the decks of Solidaritet again! ;-)

Yes folks …I was lucky enough to play at the Kings Palace in Bangalore, India where they have held some of the world’s biggest events.

I walked into the beautiful grounds surrounding the palace, which were acres and acres of rural charm. There was such a buzz around this event and I could feel the energy in the air. The castle was amazing and lit up brightly. It’s a replica of the UK Windsor Castle. The stage was huge and I had to scramble through over 4000 people to climb onto it.  The atmosphere was electric and I had never played to such a huge, wild crowd in my life!

The count down to New Years Eve began and I could feel my adrenalin going through the roof!  Fireworks roared into the air and balloons were let loose and Bangalore was ‘Bangin’!!! ;-) I started my set with ‘Wide Open Space’ Myself, Jason Herd and the lovely Joel Edwards singing the vocals. The crowd went wild and so did I. I had a huge stage all to myself and a crowd that were ready to party, all I had to do was take the roof off this place and the pleasure was all mine.

The set went down like a dream, I played my usual tech house style and threw in a couple of classics for old times sake.  This gig was one of the best gigs of my whole DJ career and I feel so lucky to have had the chance to play and bring in the New Year with Bangalore.
Thanks to everyone that made it such a special night and I will see you all again soon when I do my Indian Tour in a couple of months ;-)

Kracking Krakow!

I arrived in a warm Krakow Poland of 16 degrees!!! I was all wrapped up and sweating profusely! It was my first time in Krakow, I was always in Warsaw with my residency at Space used to the -10 conditions...So I was armed with thermals! Lol! Krakow was buzzing with people and the buildings were so beautiful. I was so excited to be there and ready to Rock Krakow!!!

As I entered Diva Club which was so rammed I could hardly fit through the door, I was taken down stairs and into the underground tunnel through to the actual club. I was blown away by the beautiful bricked arches and tiny underground corridors leading to different rooms. Probably one of the most exciting entrances into a club I have ever had!!!! I started with my set with mine and Ben Malone's new track 'back Up Again' which took the roof off and it went on from there.

The room was really dark and so unbelievably hot. The atmosphere was electric and as always the Polish crowd never let me down:-) definitely one of the best party crowds in the world! I rocked the ass off Diva Club and everyone in it and had one of the best gigs to date. Loved every single hot n sweaty second of it:-) Thank you so much to everyone that helped to make the night such a HUGE success!!! I will be back next year for the opening of the new Diva Club :-) luv and muchos kisses

Singapore F1 Weekend, IndoChine gig…. possibly one of the best weekend of my life!!!!

(download)
I left Manchester on Wednesday afternoon and arrived in Amsterdam to be told that my flight for Singapore had been delayed for 12 hours. We were shunted off to the Ibis hotel with no luggage and given a food voucher.  Which turned out to be a buffet, which had been sat there for probably as long as ‘our’ delay.

Early Thursday morning I set off on my journey again to Singapore.  It was a thirteen-hour flight and I finally arrived at 4am in the morning.  I woke up Friday afternoon to a very hot Singapore. The city was so vibrant and I could feel the excitement for the forthcoming F1 Grand Prix.

We made our way to the luxurious IndoChine and experienced some of their fine dining. The food in Singapore is to die for. In fact Singapore is to die for.  The city is immaculate; they pride themselves of being Green and clean.  The club had huge fish tanks inside and the restaurant upstairs.  I was so excited to ‘DJ’ and made my way to the decks.  I started off my set with Mark Knight’s mix of Florence and the Machine. It echoed throughout the club and the crowd lapped it up.  The room was packed from head to toe and I went on to ‘Smash’ IndoChine! (In true Romero Style)

I woke up the next day (Saturday) the big F1 qualifying round day.   We made our way to the Orange Mandarin Hotel and into the Penthouse Suite. It was on the 22nd floor and was the best seat in the house. I was in ecstasy and appreciated how lucky I was to have this view.  The party was well underway as the race got started. The cars flew by at such a speed; if you blink you missed it. The sound was deafening, the screeching of the cars gave me goose bumps and made every hair on my body stand on end.  I was feeding it live via my Facebook page, excited to be able to share the once in a lifetime experience.

We then made our way in a limousine to the waterfront, where there were live bands playing, what a ‘WOW’ factor setting. Perfect for our Tempura Vegetable and chicken fried rice dinner. (mmm)  Then rushed over to Indochine for my set. The night and club was even more ‘energetic’ than the day before. I eagerly jumped onto the decks to proceed to ‘Rock the Co**’ off the club. It was bouncing and everyone was jumping around like maniacs, including myself.

I love that feeling; it’s the best feeling in the world. After my set I had drinks in the bar with some of my friends and went onto an after party at Avalon, a club set on the water. (Another WOW factor!)  The next day I had dinner out at the German Restaurant at beautiful harbour at sunset. The lighting was immense and I had a huge giant sausage (check out the pictures) After that I quickly made my way to the airport, for my 20 hour journey and am writing this blog on the plane as I’m so energised from my amazing weekend. A weekend that only dreams are made of ;-)

See you in November Singapore……… x
